New Zealand
TPT currently exports approximately 3 million JAS m3 annually on behalf of New Zealand forest owners. This represents ~70% of TPT’s total annual exports and is ~25% of NZ’s 2010 total annual log export volume. TPT operate across a range of NZ ports, in the North Island; Northport, Port of Tauranga, Port of Napier, Port of Taranaki, Centreport and in the South Island; Port Nelson and Port of Timaru.
New Zealand’s plantation forest resource is predominantly Radiata Pine, with small volumes of Douglas Fir, Cedar, Larch, Poplar and Eucalyptus species. TPT export a full range of grades across these species and have the option to ship debarked and antisapstain treated logs through the Port of Tauranga. The bulk of our clients are FSC certified and where requested FSC parcels and certification can be supplied to customers.
Shipping operations are managed in order to balance the optimum of full vessel single port loads within the limitations of port storage and stock (age) rotation.
